Privacy Policy

StageBrief is an independent USPSA training tool operated by StageBrief. We are not affiliated with USPSA or IPSC. Questions about this policy can be directed to hello@stagebrief.com.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

• ›Account info: Email address, display name, USPSA member number (optional)
• ›Shooter profile: Division, classification per division — entered by you voluntarily
• ›Scores: Hit factors, points, times, match names, and notes you choose to log
• ›Stage analyses: AI-generated shooting plans cached to avoid repeat API calls
• ›Usage data: Basic server logs (page requests, errors) — no behavioral tracking

• ✕Cookies or cross-site tracking
• ✕Your location or device identifiers
• ✕Payment information (we do not process payments directly)
• ✕Any data from your firearm or equipment
• ✕Third-party advertising or analytics SDKs

Your data is used exclusively to provide the Service:

• ›Authenticate your account and keep your session secure
• ›Display your scores, classification progress, and hit factor history to you
• ›Generate personalized AI stage analysis based on your division and classification
• ›Cache AI analysis results so you don't wait for repeat analyses

We do not use your data to train AI models. Stage PDFs sent to the Anthropic API for analysis are processed in real time and are not stored or used by Anthropic for training under their current API usage policies.

Your data is stored in Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II certified database platform hosted on AWS. We use Row Level Security (RLS) on all database tables — this means your data is enforced at the database level to be accessible only by you. No other user can read your scores, profile, or analyses.

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with secure session tokens. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

StageBrief uses the following third-party services to operate:

We do not share your personal data with any of these services beyond what is technically necessary to provide the Service.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — profile, scores, and analyses — is permanently deleted from our database. To request account deletion, email hello@stagebrief.com.

You have the right to:

• ›Access all data we hold about you
• ›Correct inaccurate data via your profile settings
• ›Delete your account and all associated data
• ›Export your score data (contact us and we will provide a CSV)

StageBrief is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
